No I don't think so. But there are many effective treatments available for the different problems that PCOS causes. Glucophage, birth control pills, Clomid, etc.
No there is no cure but Glucophage is a start if you are insulin resistant. Injectables work well (much better in pcos patients) than clomid. Clomid is athe least expensive but the only thing it did for me and alot of women i have heard from is give maybe one follicle, huge cyst, and mood swings out the ying yang. The way my RE (she contucts studies on infertility patients (i was in a study for pcos patients) During your cycle we (pcos pts) start producing FSH but before the follicles can mature enough the LH takes over before the follicle is mature and we stop producing FSH thus leaving us with an unmature follicle and month after month this happens thus giving us numerous small cyst on our ovaries giving them a swiss cheese looking appearence. I took the Follistim and Antagon Combo the follistim matured my follicles while the Antagon supressed the LH until the follicles were mature enough and the dr gave me the shot to release the follicles. Best of luck in your treatment IT IS A ROLLER COASTER RIDE http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/blob_fire.gif
