Question Tetracycline?

I was just wondering if it's OK to take tetracycline (for acne) if you had kidney stones a few years back. Someone told me that it might actually help because it kills some bacteria that caueses kidney stones but on my prescription it says "USE OF THIS MEDICINE IS NOT RECOMMENDED if you have a history of kidney conditions." Anyone know anything about this? Help!

Tetracycline can cause kidney damage. I took Tetracycline for acne as a teen, and my kidneys failed.

The docs don't really know the cause of my kidney failure, but the Tetracycline was suspect.
