Exclamation Help...I don't know whether am i suffering from any kidney infection?

Recently, i started to have lower-back ache....somewhere near to the kidneys....i'm really worry that i will be suffering from some kidney infections.....

I have went to the clinic for a urine test, the doctor said that my kidney was alright just that my urine contains some bacteria.
So she gave me some anti-biotics, after then i feel better.

BUT the pain came back again, the pain is not unbearable just that it make me feel very uncomfortable....
The doctor did ask me to check my own urine, and realized that it seems to be a little foamy.....i'm not sure whether that is being chalky or not....as i have very little knowledge in this kidney stuff.......

BUT what make me suspect that im am suffering from some kidney diseases because my family has a history of kidney failure....this really make me feel very worry and afraid!

The pain was somehow continuous.....! Can someone tells me what am i suffering from?

Currently a student and i am going to have my examination soon, thereby i really need to do something to it.....as this matter is really bothering me.....which i cannot concentrate in getting anything done......!

I am from Singapore, may i know where can i have a thorough check on my kidneys or where can i seek help from........before everything is too late........Please HELP me!

Thanks
Gloomy

Hello there, No do not worry too much. If bacteria was found it probably was just an infection. But you need to check to see if there is any blood or protein in your urine. This could be a kidney problem. Also, you may want to see a kidney specialist if this continues to bother you. In the US they are called Nephrologists. I'm not sure what they would be there in Singapore. I wish you the best of luck and if you have any further questions please ask.

Best wishes
