Question Pain in upper R. flank & radiating into pelvis

I'm having a very sharp colicky pain in my right lower abdomen. It tends to feel like it's traveling downward, and it is much worse in the mornings and when I empty my bladder. This has been going on for quite some time, I began to get the right flank pain a few days ago. Does this sound like renal colic & if so, does it usually last this long? Could it be adhesions on the ureter from a previous surgery?
When the pain first started it was only in the mornings but now it is there off and on all day.
Any suggestions???
Thanks!
Tammy
