LIVER BIOPSY

Can someone explain what goes on during a liver biopsy. I am due to have one soon and I am pretty scared. Please don't hold back, just let me have the truth how ever painful it might be.

Tina I just had a liver biopsy last month , like you I was terrified , I had put it off for 3 years, the fear was worse then the biopsy. I did experience pain in my right shoulder and rib cage after the biopsy was over , it lasted for 2 days. The procedure itself lasted only a few seconds .HOpe all goes well for you . Anita
