Post New to the Board

Hi. I just found out about 3 weeks ago I have cirrhosis. I only found out when I had my gall bladder removed and the surgeon discovered it. According to them, it's not life threatening and should not get worse. I'm not so quick to believe that. They did all the testing to see if I had portal hypertension, which came back negative, but blood tests releved that I am a "carrier" for Alpha 1 antitrypsin deficiency. For now it's not a threat since I'm not a smoker and should not develope emphysema. I have been fatiqued for about six months now and really don't show any other signs. I would like any info that anyone could provide or any comments or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Melinda
