3yr old with enlarged liver and light colored stools

I have a three yr old son who has had an enlarged spleen and liver for as long as we can remember. He has also had light colored stools for as long as I can remember too...but I never thought much of it. I guess I just thought it was just the way he was...to be honest, I dont look at much poop in my day to day life

Anyway, I read on another board that there is a link between some liver diseases and white or very pale stool. Does anyone know anything about this? or can you direct me on where to find more info?
