Post Ok....I am a little freaked out.!

I have been having this intermittent, low grade dull ache located on my right side, jut below my rib cage.

It started while I was in Asia. During that time I had recalcitrant dysentary. The pain started just afterwards. I went to a doctor and they thought it was muscle pain. I know I am hep A/B negative because I was vaccinated against them before I left.

Now my pcp said it could be the dysentary may have lodged up in my liver.

I am scared!

Has your doctor tested you for hepatitis C & D?
If not I would suggest you urge them to test you for that. In fact I would get ask them to give you a complete blood test to elliminate any tropical diseases you may have picked up thru the dysentry. They would most probably need to take your blood test at 12 midnight cause the parasite or infection is best detected then. The prescence of any antibodies in your system would also indicate an infection or parasite.

I hope this is of some help, the main thing is to speak with your doctor and push them to to follow thru with the testing.

Curt
