Question Had my ultrasound...

Well, I had my ultrasound the other day. Both internal and external. Wanna talk about nerves. UGH! No tlike im nervous enough to hear what is going on in my body, but the woman doing the test was about as warm and jovial as the fish I cooked for dinner. Anyway, as she was preforming the external portion of the sonogram (she wouldnt tell me anything at all) I watched her face. Now I'm not sure if she had poor eyesight but every few moments she'd lean towards the monitor and squint while at the same time raise her eyebrows.. at that point I decided to count the flowers on the wallpaper next to me. lol So we move to the internal.. now theres an experience! lol Thank God she allowed me to put it in myself! OK so again, no input from her at all. When she was finished she took the report and scooted out of the room so as I could dress. Now I know NOTHING at all about uterine and ovary sizes, and my memory couldnt remember all those number exactly so I managed to remember the basics. My right ovary had a total size number of 13 and my left ovary had a total size number of 29. Like this helps anyone who may know something, help me understand the more than double size from the two. OK so as I was getting ready to leave, I asked her when the results will be available. She said that my doctor should have them by Monday. (That was Wednesday) I said well, should I wait for the doctor to call me.. and before I could get this sentence out, she tells me NO you call Monday morning. I said.. O key .. then I was out the door. OK Not that I have a question really, but I have no one to talk to about these things because my husband reacts to possible bad news with a kinda neurotic panic and that doesnt help my (sarcasm) totally great moods to begin with, and I will not tell family members until I am sure of issues.... so I hope no one minds me rambeling here. I will definitly keep this updated as I know more news. BTW, I posted before but refresher, Im 35 years old and having terrible mood swings, really really painful cramping, and so far I am working on period number 4 in less than 2 months, hair falling out... lol always tired not sleepy.. but hey, my nails are growing nicely. OK enough of this from me for now... any input?

Okay, I can only go by what I just went through. On the ultrasound one ovary looked like a giant, round, black circle. Uterus looked okay to me, like I'd even know! Anyway, other ovary looked normal to me. She made a comment about a cyst, and that he would call me and talk to me about what he wanted me to do, if he even wanted me to do anything. That kind of let me know that things didn't look too bad from her perspective without really diagnosing me. She smiled and was friendly -- guess I lucked out. They just stuck me on low-dose birth control to try and regulate me, because I was spotting for about 4 months straight with no break. Wore kotex every day. I'm still doing it on this birth control, not quite as bad, but maybe it will just take time. I used to have 2 periods a month, but eventually went on to this every day thing going on along with the 2 periods a month.

I missed the doctor's call on Friday because I was at work and had to wait until Monday for the results. Birth control gives your ovaries a break so you don't make cysts anymore, if they're the kind of cyst that I had. My mother died of ovarian cancer, and birth control helps reduce your chances of that. You can imagine how scared I've been that I had cancer while waiting for my results. Wish I hadn't worried. Hope you can enjoy your weekend. (I'm 42).
