Question am i missing something??????????

Okay, I am forty-three and seem to be in full blown menopause. I wouldnt have known much but the lack of periods and the occasional hot flsh gave me some insight. I was tested by my 33 year old gyno. and was told that I am no longer producing estrogen... I have supplemented calcium stc for years , but am concerned about the heartattack rate (because of no estro. and the memory .. not to mention the rapid aging and other vain symtoms) my problem is that I cant seem to get an answere as to what I should do.... I feel like I may be making a big deal about it, maybe I am just lucky not to have sever symtoms and should let nature take her course, both my gyno. and genral prct. seem to be not concerned as I am some what symtom free .. any one else feeling this way,, any one eles confused as to WHAT TO DO.. are there any answers out there ???

I'm 47 now and I didn't take a test for menopause but I guess I'm going through perimenopause. I told my doctor (internal medicine) my symptoms and she prescribed me hormones. It's suppose to help with the heart problems caused by menopause but if your doctors aren't too concern yet I wouldn't worry about it. They're going to look out for your best interest.
