I'm sorry Dreamy... I have no idea on that one. I may do a net search and see what I come up with... I may be having the same problems. I'll let you know if I find something of interest.

Hi, Dreamy, Sorry, I can't say about swelling, although Circulation problems are a part of menapause, as I have read this. My hands and feet are always cold now. There's not enough socks in the world. And yes the period can come and go as far apart as a year, others have told me. Mine stoppped Oct. and nothing since. test results were possitive for menapause. I'll keep a look out. If very bad swelling persists, Check back with DR., especially with swelling and circulation problems. Good luck. Mag

Possibly menopause...sounds very typical of fluid retention which can be from other causes as well.

Your doc should consider putting you on a diuretic med. You should reduce salt intake, or eliminate it from your diet. Also important to get your BP checked. If you have high BP it would be wise to see a physician who specialises in investigating cardiac and kidneys. Often a kidney ultrasound is of worth to be sure all is functioning well with your water works. Good luck ahead. Usually proper meds and diet control is all that is needed.
