Exclamation Confusion & memory is going

I am at the point of thinking I better just sit at home and twiddle my thumbs. I get so confused and I can't remember to pay bills etc. My husband has had to take that over. Yesterday I was sitting at a stop light and just took off!!!! Red light and all--thankfully no one was coming. I am taking estrogen for perimenopause. I have been on antidepressants since I was 26 (now 44), but they don't give me any grief, just make me better. I was wondering whether anyone else feels like they are losing it like me?

You are not alone. Fuzzy thinking, loss of memory, poor concentration. I'm considering Ginko Biloba but haven't tried it yet. I'm working on fixing my thyroid too and that is helping a bit. Hang in there. This too shall pass.

karenortwein,

Your post made me giggle . . . sorry.

John Lee and Christiane Northrup (both M.D.s) have written books about women's health / (peri)menopause that I am finding very interesting - offering explanations about what is going on and dietary and supplement recommendations. Try to get hold of them.

Red face

I'm 37, no period for 2 months, hot flashes, night sweats...anyway, was on my way to Dr. today to get to the bottom of this when I realized I WAS LOST. I didnt know where I was or how I got there! Started crying like a baby...finally found a road I knew but was so upset I said screw the Dr. I'm going shopping. Is it common for these symptoms to hit so quick?

Wink

auntjudyg,

Glad I could make you smile! I have decided that the name my son has given this--"meno-mind" is the right idea! Just laugh my way through!
Thanks,
Karen
