Question Loss weight

Has anyone ever loss weight with menopause? My mom has loss 30 lbs over the year? She went to the the Dr. who gave her some blood test and does not seem overly concerned. She has been newly diagnosed with IBS and have noticed decreased appetite. She gets hungry maybe once or twice a day and eats a normal diet.

Hi, I just started menapause, October 2000, that was the last period and my symptoms and HTL and thyroid test confirmed it. It was overnight, however, I have lost about 15 lbs. in 1 year. I guess I was preimenapausal and idn't realize due to other issues causing anxiety (family member loss and, sibling illness, etc.) and making me crazy in my life. I pretty much always stayed about 110 lbs. as I got in my 40's I was up to 115+, I'm only 5' 1". I OK with it, except, the thin skin and wrinkles thing happening. But as always one should check with a doctor with any body changes, weight loss, sleeplessness, etc. Good luck, Mag
