What are you on? I am on Effexor and I did not gain any weight at all. Actually I lost weight.

Is your appetite increased at all?

Paxil caused me to gain almost 45lbs. in 6 months. Most of it was in my inner thighs and stomach also. I have yet to figure out how to get rid of anything except the water retention. You should talk to your doctor about trying a diuretic. Only take them if they are prescribed from your doc. The store bought ones are no count and are also dangerous because they cause Potassium depletion.

Hope I could help,
Larissa

I am on Paxil 30mg and Zyprexa 2.5mg and have gained 20lbs in 5 months. I gained the weight where most women do, rear, thighs lower abdomen and breasts.

As far as the water retention, my husband said that lowering your carbohydrate intake will keep you from retaining too much water.
