Question Not scared yet...or should i be?

I am a physically fit father of 5 (38 yrs old). I lead a somewhat stress-free lifestyle. My problem is that over the last 2-3 years I have started to "REALLY" lose my short-term memory. I also have occasional localized headaches (left-top of my head) about 1-2 times a week. Are these the start of symptons that others have seen? and related to what? Thanks in advance...still trying to decide if I am scared or not at this point...

Hi fatherof5,

I'm not quite sure as to what you're refering to. Are you asking if the symtems you're experiencing are a sign of mental health/problems?

My recomendation is to go see your Dr and explain what's going on and get a physical exam. I wouldn't start getting bent out of shape about anything just yet.

See the Dr and get checked out.

hi, it could be anxiety and it could also be just a normal headache.. but go get checked out at the docs first... and make sure he examines you before ruling anything else out

I can relate...my short term memory is completely shot!!! I have been diagnosed with major depression and anxiety, among other things, and dr. has told me that it may be due to those factors. I dont know if its your situation but its worth asking a doc.

I have experienced the same things, although a little more complex. I started losing my short term memory and then it seemed like I was losing all of it. I have been in and out of doctors offices for over 3 years now. I was finally diagnosed with Sleep Apnea.(I hadnt even heard of it before)
Hope you can find a solution quicker than I did.
