GAD can produce those types of symptoms as well, you may be suffering a high anxiety wave right now where everything is not right so you think you must be having a breakdown. I've had those same vision lights, colors etc and turned out the scan showed nothing abnormal just GAD.

You may wish to give a little more detail regarding your visions. My doctor has asked me repeatedly if I suffer from recurring visions, especially negative ones involving death or accidents, etc. Apparently, this is common symptom of OCD, which is something I have. Persons with OCD often have difficultly controlling these visions, which cause them great upset and worry. Some of these same patients also experience excessive recurring images, noises, songs, and other recurring experiences. Personally, I do not have the visions I mentioned earlier, so I can only imagine how terrifying it could be for someone who does. If your PET scan is normal, you may want to consider whether OCD or some other anxiety, etc. could be causing these visions.

Good luck. I hope it works out for you.

P.S. If you feel that your anxiety could have something to do with these visions, you may want to post your question on the OCD & Obsessions and Stress & Anxiety boards. Perhaps someone there has more information for you.
