Post HELP! I'm Exhausted and Frustrated!

I'm soooo glad that I have found this group!I hope that you can give me some insight with this problem I have.

Several years ago I had rapid onset of fatigue, hyperreflexia, incoordination and uncontrollable movements. All my EMG/NCV, EEG, MRIs, blood work, Lyme, etc., had come back negative. They also did a LP and didn't check for Oligoclonal banding, so a week later they did another LP and it was positive, but neg for MBP - myelin basic protein.

I have recently relapsed into this fatigue, hyperreflexia, incoordination, spasticity phase again. I cannot walk up the stairs without feeling exhausted and wanting to just curl up into a ball at the top of the stairs and just "cry". I lose my concentration and my hands want to do their own thing while I type this post.

My recent EMG/NCV was positive (spasms, etc.) the Neuro has to review the results. He's sending me in for an LP and MRI this week. He mentioned MS and the possibility that the MRIs in the past may not have picked up a possible lesion on my spinal cord. Has anyone had a similar experience as mine? I'm just really worn down and frustrated.

Thanks for all of your help!

Hi Leathan,

Thank you for your reply. I just read your previous post regarding your symptoms. Very much like mine. I was diagnosed with myoclonus too. When you mention ME in your reply, are you referring to Myoclonic Epilepsy? My neuro thought the same as well, but I don't have myoclonic epilepsy.

I do have some vision loss. I notice that my peripheral vision becomes "shadowed" or if I look at an object in dim light, I lose the central part of my vision.

I wouldn't be surprised if I was diagnosed with CFS. I think we just have a package of everything!

What medications are you taking? Have they helped you.
