Smile zyban I am sure it's helping

still haven't given up smokeing, but sure it's helping. Drove the car twice theother day, have not done that in two years, also walking has improved lots, balance still good too. It's not a cure. but God it really is helping, my consultant was impressed, saw him last week.

Hi
I have been a smoker for 25 years.Dx about 3 years ago and have ben cutting down?giving up since....for all the obvious reasons.
Well I am on the clear patches and on day 4 of no cigareetes. So feeling pleased/frustrated/and pathetic all at the same time.I am getting a couple of major urges a day.
No difference in MS syptoms as yet....but will let you know.
Have afriend who used Zyban and she is still off the cigs some 7 months later and she was a 40 a day girl....so keep at it I know its tough.
Anyways on the pharmacology side.....Zyban is a mild antidepressant /mood effecter by stimulating the seretonin levels in the brain....thats how it works.
Its a well known fact that MS plaques quite often cause a disturbance in the seretonin levels....hence why people have sleep disturbances. So I figure that Zyban is obviously having a effect on your syptoms in this way......keep us up to speed...cos I am interested.
Good luck
