Post Copaxone progress question

I was diagnosed with RR-MS 19 years ago, and was doing very well during this 19 years. could do very much. However 3 years ago my walking became worse up to a point that I am not able to walk at all at some points now.

I started using Copaxone 7 months ago and already started to see some improvements.

Could someone tell me if I will have a chance to really walk again?
Can someone tell me their experiences with improvements, while using copaxone?

Thanks

I know a woman that is on copaxone and
doing vrey well. The only problem she has is some injection site reddness, other than that it's helped her tremendously.
Once in a great while she has a spell,
but not very often.I myself take chemo
pills three times a week for mine. I
took Batasuron,Avonex and copaxone and
had adverse reactions to all three. So
now I take Methotrexate. It seems to be
helping me pretty good.I hope this helps
you out some.Talk to ya later.

I was only recently diagnosed and have not taken any meds. I wonder, in all these 19 years, how frequent were your exacerbations? Also, what did you do to stay healthy, any supplements?

There i no telling how many spells you have had.It could have been something as simple as your hand falling asleep. With me it's always something different. From
being off balance to my legs not working at all. You never know with MS. I didn't take any supplements because I didn't know what was wrong with me for a long time.I tried to do without any meds for a while, but the burning and pain got to be unbearable. So now I take tegratol for the burning, zanaflex for spasticity and methotrexate[chemo] to slow it down. Hopefully something will kick in soone or later. But I don't take vitamins.I do drink a mineral drink like ensure.Thats about all I take right now.
I hope you get along okay.Let me know how you are doing.

I have been on Copaxone almost 3 years. I have noticed some improvment since I have been on it. I can now turn over in bed with NO problem and I could not do this before. I also can stand up to put my make up on instead of sitting to do it. Might be "little" things to some people but they are BIG things to me :-) I manage around the house with no help but do use a WC for shopping. Over all I am happy with copaxone.
