Unhappy Widespread neare pain!

I'm a first-time user to this board. I have burning nerve pain from top of my head to toes. I am on Neurontin. I am up to 2400 mg. daily. Still have burning. I haven't seen anything on other websites about any other people who have this much widespread nerve pain. Anyone out there that I can talk to about this? I'd really appreciate it. It has been two months dealing with this - feeling lonely.

I have some burning too. Not nearly as bad as you tho. I have taken Elavil for the burning and it takes it all away. Maybe you could give Elavil a try and see if that helps ???? Good luck !!

Thank-you mombook for answering my request. I'm on trazodone at night which I think is equivilent to elavil. I know I just have to be patient, because the neurontin is working. I just have to find the right doseage. I just got on the internet, so I am very new at this. I am trying to stay strong about this pain, but just you responding to my message did bring tears to my eyes. Thanks

Hi DaisyMae,I read about your nerve pain.
I to have the burning and pain constantly.Mine is from my spine down to my toes. My doctr has me on carbamzipine.
or tegratol for the burning and pain.It
seems to work most of the time. But I still know it's there. More so when I over do something or stand along time.
I hope your medication takes hold soon.
I know it's a miserable feeling.Let me
know how you are doing. My prayers are
with you.
