Question Adolase Elevated?

I was wondering if anyone here would know why an 8 year old would have an elevated adolase level but not enough to indicate MD? My son has had increasing trouble with joint pain and weakness in leg muscles. He has difficulty getting up off the floor without assistance, due to pain. Tests for thyroid function came back normal. Are there any other things we should consider?

Thanks in advance!
