ADEM - Anyone else have this???

Husband just diagnosed with ADEM Acute disseminated encephalomyelitis. Just started steriod treatment and will require rehab. Just wondering what to expect and how long it takes to recover. Thanks for any replies. Halley

I just saw your post. I have had ADEM since 1992. They say it is a one time occurance. Unfortunately for me, I was not diagnosed or treated properly, so my deficits are hanging around and causing me problems. How is your husband doing?
