Post Growing with an injury!

I recently posted my back injury so I will spare you the details here but I was wondering if growing can have an effect on a chronic injury. I didn't grow too much - about an inch or so - but it happened within a few weeks to a month. It seems that my injury changed around that time too. My pain in the left side was reduced to a single point while my right side started to increase in pain in the same spot. Can growing be bad for chronic injuries?
