Exclamation Message for DEB newbie post 11-21

Deb, What you describe is serious... Go to a vascular surgeon or cardiologist as soon as possible. Have him check your corotid arteries for blood flow, (not for stenosis). What all your symptoms indicate has nothing to do with the nerve in your arm....They would never make you dizzy. It appears you have a stenosis (partial blockage) either in your inominate artery, or where it joins the subclavian artery. It's at this point where the common corotid artery arises. Can you get a pulse in your arm, and is the blood pressure in both arms the same within about 15 points? Shortage of blood to your arm will give you terrible pain in your arm and hand, with possible coldness, paleness, and even bluish tint. This is a serious condition that could evolve into an aphasiac stroke and it bears a quick check...God bless and help you, Oldguy
