Post Chemo induced PN

I have PN in my feet due to 6 months of chemo (Adriamyacin, Cisplatin & Cytoxin) for uterine cancer. I'm mad because when I was finished with chemo I was ready to put cancer behind me and get on with my life - the PN didn't start until I was finished with chemo.

I'm not getting any relief from neurontin but the lidocane patches have helped a little. I also take Vicodin ES every 4 hours but I'm afraid of what the drugs are doing to my gut.

Has anyone had any relief from medication? And if so, what kind?

My Mom also got neuropathy from chemo and radiation. It affected her rib area mostly. Out of all the things we tried, Vicodan and heat seemed to give the most relief. Glad to say that lasted only about 6 months. It will get better... ask your doctor about new treatments for it.. Ask to be put on new meds. Warm soaks also helped. Best of luck to you... Kay
