Question polyneuropathy

I was diagnosed with this in 95 after a hard fall that injured some back muscles. B vitamin levels were over the limit when he suspected them to be to low. Than he just said to take a antidepressant. Nothing was at all explained to me what this was and he would not and gave up on the phone calls to him. Lately I have had alot of bowel trouble and did not know if this was a factor with it and Have been working with a new chiro and I was in such bad shape he is hoping I can improve some. But the numbness has been getting worse and the muscle aches. I don;t know if he is right cause the previous chiro messed me up so. Just like to know what it is for sure and what can be done for it. I am also on disability cause of it.Why did this happen? My old chiro said it was because of the injury. But have noticed when I do get hurt I don;t heal very well. A sprained ankle from aug is still bothering me is this part of it too??
