Exclamation Symptoms of schitzophrenia?

Allllllright, well im kinda worried and i finally decided to ask about it. As i understand it, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (especially childhood onset) can be symptomatic of paranoid schitzophrenia. Ive read to be careful to look out for symptoms of schitz. because until im 25 or so im not in the clear... well, there are lots of symptoms that overlap here, but the one that has really scared me is this: about a month ago i started to hear whispers that werent there... little words that i could only barely hear... make out a word or two... and then about a week ago i had an hour and a half conversation with someone who wasnt there... i had just woken up when it said something like "good morning" and i responded as if it was the most normal thing in the world... i talked for an hour and a half out loud to someone who wasnt there, but who i could have sworn existed in some fashion...and who was quite articulate and well mannered, really... i need advice... is it worth getting schitzophrenia testing at this point? Please anybody, id like your opinion.

(please excuse my spelling of schitzophrenia if its wrong ^^)

Thanks! OCDemon

Hey!
You have me really concerned now, I suffer from OCD in a big way, and i've never heard that childhood
onset was symptoms of paranoid schizophrenia!!!!
Tell me more, but I have not experienced the voices.
hope to hear from you soon.

Hi OCDemon,

Auditory hallucinations can be caused by things other than schizophrenia, but I would definitely recommend that you consult your doctor. That's the only way to be sure.

Best wishes,
Chrys.
