Question Any parents with child on Adderall from ages 3 to 5

Hi ,
I was just wondering , if their were and parents out there that have a child 3 to 5 on Adderall and if so .Did they have problems being on it or if they did are they okay now and still on it and if maybe you know a friend that has a child on it at that age please let me know I am just looking to see if their was a problem on that med and too see if it hurt a child that age
No biggie if no one wants to reply back i will just take it as no .. Thanks a concered mother of 4yr on Adderall

I take adderall, and I think it is a pretty strong drug. I am sure they give a child a smaller dosage. I have never heard of a small child taking adderall. I think that is more common for them to take ritilin.

Thanks for your responce to me
I never once even heard of adderall until the doctor said that my son was not doing any better on the ritailn and so the Dr put him on that adderall but put him on a high dose for the first time being on it and it cause problems with my son and anothering i food out too looking in to a site about adderall well it is also used as a diet drug too just real worried about my son right now so i am out here looking to see if any knows if there is a long term affect to the drug if problems were to happend and sence one has happend i am really wanting to know ..... thanks

It is used for a diet drug because on SOME people (like myself) it will make you lose weight, fast. My normal weight is like 135. When I am on adderall I weigh about 120. Sometimes it gets down to like 115-118, so I stop taking it for a month to gain my weight back. Now not everyone has this effect. It is actually pretty nice for me though. Ha ha. How high was your sons dosage, and how long was he taking it. If I were you, I wouldn't worry about it. I really doubt that is will have any long term effects. I have taken 30mg's before whick is way to high for me. Now I am at 20 mg's. I have been on it for 3 years, and I have gone through some bad side effects with it at first, but when my dosage got lowered, I was fine. I actually don't ever want to go without it. I wouldn't be too worried. But if he had a bad experience, I just wouldn't let him take it again.

hi, i have a 4year old son recently put on adderol and was wondering the same, if it has any bad long term effects. he is only on it for 2 weeks so far and seems to be doing ok. anyone who has any advice, please write back. thank you!!!
