Unhappy Muscle Aches In Arms And Legs. Anyone Else?

Hi All,
I hope all are doing fine. I am between doctors and had to stop taking Permax because of side effects. I have terrible aching in my arms and legs, especially my right leg(effected side). I notice that it hurts mostly around the knee area. Anyone else ever experience this? Thanks.
Love to all,
Mona

Hi Mona, it looks like that same old rigidity that we all put up with from day to day. Are you taking any pd medications right now? A few months ago I had severe pain in both legs from my hip to my toes and I had to increase the Clonazepam from one pill to three pills per day. It is an antianxiety drug and it relaxes the muscles. After the pain stopped, I quit taking the drug unless it was necessary. They say our muscles are in a constant state of contraction. So that probably causes the pain. If you are seeking a doctor you can go to the AMA web site and find all of the doctors in your area. If you are looking for a Parkinson specialist you can go to the Medtronics web site or go to the NPF website (parkinson.org)and sign up for "ask the doctor", and Dr Lieberman can usually recommend a doctor for you. Thank you Bruce and Ruth for your replies. I am between doctors right now and am to see new neuro this Friday. I took myself off the Permax because I was experiencing severe side effects. The only med I take now is Xanax which does have a muscle relaxant in it and takes most of the bite off the pain. I will update everyone after my doctor visit on Friday.
Love to all,
Mona

Unhappy

Mona-
It sounds like a lack of dopamine, which is why your muscles are contracting. I suffer from dystonia (the cramps). The sinemet usually takes care of it (or I get a tune-up on my stimulators).
