Post Carbidopa/Levo

Hi my friends:

Anyone know aabout Carbidopa/Levo Tabs 25/100 93/293?

Dad, has been on them for several weeks and I am still not seeing a change.

The doctor said they help some but not all. Just looking for any information.

Thanks.

Hope you are all having a good weekend. God bless you.

You didn't say how many times per day your dad is taking the Sinemet 25/100.

I conducted a survey elsewhere on what pd drugs pwps were taking and how long they had been diagnosed with pd. Their was every combination that i could think of, but out of sixteen pwps, everyone was taking Sinemet 25/100. One person was taking the drug 12-14 times per day. Three to four times a day was about average. Most of the pwps were taking a combination of drugs.

Kimi, did you say your dad had just started on pd medication?

The problem might be it hasn't been long enough for the Sinemet to relieve his symptoms or he might need an adjustment of his Sinemet.

It's always best to keep the Sinemet dose as low as possible, because eventually he will develop dyskinesia
if the dose is increased to much.
As the survey showed everyone's dose is different.

Have a good one. Bruce

Thanks Bruce:

My dad takes the medication 3 times a day.

I do not have the dates on me on when he started but, I think it has been 4-6 weeks. Any thoughts would be great!

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

God bless.

kIMI, your dad should be feeling a difference in 4-6 weeks. If he doesn't feel any better, he might need an adjustment in his meds.

Thanks Bruce.

He went to the doctors yesterday and they upped him to taking this 4 times a day now.

Hopefully we will see some improvement now.

I hope all is well with you.

God bless you.
