Question Concerta - is dose too high?

My son is 8 and was just switched from 18mg to 27mg of Concerta. He takes it at 7:15 a.m. He seems to be having trouble between 2 and 3 p.m. everyday. He told his teacher that sometimes the medicine makes him feel "crazy." It seems that he's a little out of control and is impulsive, but it subsides by 4:00 p.m. I know that Concerta peaks approx. 7 hours after you take it. Could he be on too high a dose?
Thanks

[QUOTE] He told his teacher that sometimes the medicine makes him feel "crazy."

Hi...i am 29 and that is how it made me feel. The doc had me on 36mg once or twice a day. I felt really spaced out and like i was going crazy! I didn't like that stuff. My doc then gave me Adderall and I love it. Maybe ask the about that.

sincerely,
