Exclamation I nedd help with BC.....

ok....
my Bf just asked me if i was on BC...
I'm not, we have not gone all the way, we will not untill i'm on some kind of BC
i need help finding out about the diffrent kinds(pill, pach, neddle...) and how they work and there sideafects.....
please help i'm kinda new with BC

The best thing you can do is make an appointment with your doctor. Have an exam and ask him about birth control. There are so many different form of it...pills, patches, shots, etc. Birth control pills work well for me, but are sometimes hard for people to remember. It's best to take them at the same time every day...like right before you go to bed...and keep them out where you can see them so you won't forget. I have never tried the other forms because the pills worked so well for me.

It is very smart of you not to have sex before getting on birth control. I want to warn you, though, that no birth control is 100% effective. Even when you get on birth control, you should still use a condom. This will give added protection against pregnancy and will also help protect you from STDs.

At the very least, look at the Planned Parenthood site so you walk into the dr's a little armed. They're great about specifics and go into great detail about particular methods, even going so far as to detail the procedure for the insertion of an IUD.
