Post Why do I have lesions?

I have big purple lesions all over my thighs and behind my scrotum (nothing on my penis or scrotum itself). They itch TERRIBLY. its like torture. They last a week and then go away. I have to put itch cream on it to get through the day. They are generally oval shaped, and purplish. They are only on my thighs. HELP ! I know this is an STD I just wanna know which one. Thanks

Correction ..they're not ALL OVER my thighs, just in the genital area. The skin over it starts out brownish pink but then turns purple.

I have had unprotected sex, first time was in June, last time was October. i won't go into details but it was very very high risk. HELP

I think herpes generally develops blisters but I might be wrong. I sounds more like you have some sort of fungal infestation or some type of eczema. That area is usually moist/damp and is prone to something like fungus. You really should see your doctor preferable a dermatologist.

You are right on the money, SDP, as usual. Just to clarify (as a herpes sufferer)... Herpes generally appears as small blisters (or occasionally small slits that look like paper cuts), red with a whitish head and red irritated skin around the blister itself. They can be itchy but generally are just extremely painful. I've never heard of a case of herpes that presented itself as large purple lesions, but I of course don't presume to know everything.
