Post Others Reaction When You Tell Them???

I just discovered 1 month ago that I have HPV. I feel like my life as I knew it has come to an end. Im using Aldara to get rid of the warts. Im just trying to figure out when is the right time to tell someone you have an STD and what your experances have been with their reaction.

A Very Sad Guy.

Hi. You sound depressed just like me. We're in the same boat. I found out I had hpv about a month ago to. I also think about how am I going to be able tell the next person I get involved with? I feel like no one would want date me if they knew. I feel really ugly as this point. I feel like in the future when I want to start dating again, I should wear a big sign that says, "If you have hpv like me, I'm the girl for you!" When I go to the doctor's office I feel like a walking big wart. It sucks! But you know what? Searching through the internet for hpv clubs, there's actually happy situations. Real experiences from people who have hpv like us. There are some people that are dating again and they thought dating would be over for them. Others have gotten married with understanding spouses. YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT CAN HAPPEN! I know this is hard. It takes time to deal with it. But believe it or not it's not the end of the world. Life goes on and so does everyone's else. I've come to accept the virus. Having the virus is not so bad. It's just that when the warts are present is when I absolutely can't stand it. You should go to yahoo clubs and go under hpv club. It's similar to this but it's a support club for people like us. You'll feel better after reading other people's situations and experiences. Just remember, you're not alone. HANG IN THERE!

Hey! I'm glad that I can kinda cheer you up in a way. You're lucky! At least you have a date or been on a date since you know about this thing. I don't want to deal with it just yet. I don't want to stress myself out right now. If you don't mind keep me up dated on your relationship. I want to know from a guy's point of view and the way you might break it to her. I just might have to steal your lines in the future! Feel free to email me sometimes at madisonk44@yahoo.com. It's nice to talk to someone and not have to wait for someone to dig for your posting to be noticed and replied.
GOOD LUCK YOURSELF! Maybe we'll meet again at our hpv club! Hope to hear from you soon. Madison

Are you sure you have HPV (the actual Wart type that is) - I thought the same until I had them biopsied last week (read my message below) - I know now, although I do have HPV, I don't have the kind that cause Warts - it is something else called Molluscum Contagiosum???
Well, I have the same problem, I haven't been with anyone since I found out I had HPV. I have met a guy and will be seeing him again soon, I wonder how I will tell him. I do know it doesn't affect guys as bad as it does girls (HPV - not the Wart type that is).
I suppose the first thing I am going to ask is if they have ever had an STD check, and I am sure I will be surprised - I will most probably find someone with the same thing - if you have read much about it, you will find that more often than not - they will have the same thing. The reason for this is disrespectful people don't give a S*&^ about others and don't care about spreading their diseases. I suppose you can never trust anyone can you???
