just found out i have HPV

I just found out last week that i have HPV. I have to go back in to the doc in a few weeks to have the few growths froze off. I was wondering how bad it hurts to have that done down there. She said i could have novicane if i wanted too. Also, how do date when you have this. I'm afraid that any guy i'm interested in will think i'm a ***** because i have this. I feel so bad....i just keep thinking if i hadn't been so stupid maybe this wouldn't have happened. I'm really down...i can't stop crying i just feel so slutty. Could someone please help me out?? I'm a 25 year old divorced female who needs some adivice.

I totally understand how you feel I am 21 and I have HPV as well. I found out when I was 17 or 18 I felt the same way. Just becareful when sleeping with people now because you don't want to give it to anyone. When you find someone you really love be honest with them and if they love you they will look past that. I am married now and when my husband and I were dating I told him (it was so hard and embarrassing). He stayed with me and we had sex at first protected and then when he felt comfortable enough we stop using protection knowing that he was going to get it. We have two health boys now and we are just taking it one day at a time. Just please keep going to follow up with your ob. I have to go every four months to get a colposcopy and a biopsy. the doctor found precancerous cells but i am okay. If you ever need to talk I am here to support you
