This message is regarding a note I saw in one of Sunflower's responses...
Sunflower mentioned something about having discharge with HPV. I was unsure if she meant that your discharge can be infected with HPV or if it gives off an abnormal discharge. I don't see how your vaginal secretions could be infected because I thought that the virus lies only in your skin.. So is there a discharge associated with HPV? Thanks for helping.
I think women usually have a discharge especially right before your period, and during ovulation. There is no discharge with HPV. If it has an odor or a funny color to it then you should see a Dr.
your welcome! I have HPV also i would say for 10 yrs. now. There is no symptoms, but you need to have paps every year because left untreated it can lead to cervical cancer. I had 2 procedures done on my cervix b/c of dysplasia(abnormal cell growth. I had a cone biopsy 10 yrs ago then a LEEP back in Nov. I guess I will just have to deal with this for the rest of my life. As long as I keep getting my paps I am not worried about cervical cancer.
