question about hpv testing

Does anyone know if when you have your pap smear, do they automatically test for hpv or do you have to request it?

You would definitely have to request it!

The Thin Prep pap test would be your best bet. Yes, you have to request that you're dr request on the lab slip: for HPV testing. Only thing is that if you're not currently experiencing an "outbreak:. it will come back negative.
