Post HPV

Please help me. I am a 30 year old woman who was recently diagnosed with HPV. I have divorced within the last year and a half and have not had sex with anyone since the divorce. My dr. explained to me that I could have carried this for a long time and the stress of a recent surgery could have brought the warts on. I understand all of that completely. Here is my problem. I have been having oral sex with a friend of mine for about 3 months. Is it possible that I could have passed the HPV virus on to him? He is married and is very worried that he could now pass this on to his wife. By oral sex I mean that I have given him blow jobs. He has never touched my body. This whloe situation has turned into a mess. I need answers so we can get past this. He is convinced he has it as well. I did call my dr.'s nurse. She seemed convinced that I could not have given it to him since we have not had sex. I also seem to have a leison of some sort in my eye. A few months ago I had a severe eye infection and my friend was helping clean my eye and put drops in it. Is there anyone who knows if the HPV virus can grow in your eye? If he does have HPV it would be much easier to explain to his wife. Please help me......

HPV generally infects the genital area but does not travel into the blood stream. It is highly unlikely that you passed on the HPV to him orally. The eye infection does not seem to be related to the HPV. Look into the sebsites I listed below. They have a lot of good information.
