Question hpv

I am qutie confused about hpv, I know that there are many different strains of hpv, and I have the high risk type; which causes cervical dysplasia. Does this mean I too will get warts?? I saw my lab reults from the biopsy and it said "severe cervical dysplasia". Are warts on the cervix considered the same as the abnormal cell growths on the cervix or lesions on the cervix, or does this mean I have the strain that causes gential warts?? I have no visible signs and the only way I found out was because my pap came back abnormal. I am just confused?? how bad does the dysplasia flare up when pregnant??

You sohuld ask your doctor these questions. Myy doctor said i had mild case of dsyplasia. And hpv but i never have gotten warts or anything. I too did not find out tell i got an abnormal pap smear. My doctor said yuo can still get pregnant but it amy be a tad bit harder because the cells try to kill the sperm

It is my understanding that the high risk types of HPV do not produce visible warts. You will probably never see external warts unless you contracted more than one type of HPV. It is very common for women to find out the same way you did - a pap test.

Question

i'm a little confused...... i know this may sound a little off subject... but, bare with me..... i contracted chlamydia back in feb/march.... totally cured of it by may..... in between feb and may my doc also did a pap... which came back "abnormal".... in turn he did a colposcopy..... the "abnormal" cells were atypical .... from the colposcopy, he said that it looked MUCH better than my pap even did......and it wasn't dysplasia...it was just atypical abnormal cells.... (i had my pap when i was still positive for chlamydia)... now, my question is....... he's NEVER mentioned hpv... i'm now fine, and go back in october for a follow up pap.... would you ALWAYS have hpv with an abnormal pap??? i mean, after the std, they tested for EVERYTHING.... i mean everything.... i'm just confused about , it seems everyone on here has hpv along with their abnormal pap......

confused....
