Post Dyspasia vs HPV?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows if mild dysplasia automatically means it is linked with HPV? Can't you just have abnormal cells and not have it be something sexually transmitted? This whole HPV thing is so confusing.

Hi
Yes, you can have abnormalities and it not be linked to an STD, however in most cases, cervical dysplasia is believed to be caused by HPV.

Hope this helps~
