Post acrylic nails

Do you have to be careful when you have acrylic nails a far as swimming on a daily basis goes? Thanks

I don't think swimming affects them, but the sun does. They turn them yellow, so be sure to use sunscreen or a polish that protects against that.

Having yur hands in excess amounts of water, much less water that contains chlorine is NOT good for the nails. The nails will experience a LOT of lifting, which can also cause pseudomonas bacterial infections due to the extremely moist conditions and the presence of this bacterium in/on just about everything you touch. As a nationally recognized nail technician with 35 years experience, I would recommend you NOT have artificial nails of any sort applied to your natural nails if you plan to be in a swimming pool on a daily basis.
