Have your nails always been flat, or have they undergone a drastic change in the past few months? If they have always been flat, it is because the nail plate will follow the shape of the underlying nail bed, which follows the shape of the finger tip bone.

Thanks for answering. I only have one nail which is flat. No, it hasn't always been that way. I noticed the change approx. a year ago. Most all my nails have a stubborn nail fungus which I have tried to get rid I was wondering if there could be a connection between the two.

A fungus infection will generally change the shape of the nail, but it will usually make it thicker rather than just flat. Try searching the web for a product made by Woodward Labs called Dr. G's Clear Nail. There is also a link to the site on my nail links page: www.hooked-on-nails.com

Have you personally used Dr. G's Clear Nail? How long before you see improvement? I have bought so many over the counter products, used tea tree oil, and took prescribed pills from the dermatologist. NOTHING has worked. Do you think this product is effective?
Thanks.
