Question Lips Problem.

Hi Everyone.

I have been picking at the skin on my lips for years and after all that abuse, I now have a real problem on my hands (or should I say lips!)

Both my lips are in pretty bad shape, but my bottom lip has really been damaged. The lip itself and the flesh of the lip is fine. There has never been any bleeding or biting of the actual lip.

I have picked so much that I now have a thick stripe all the way across my bottom lip and no matter how much vaseline I use or how much I avoid contact with my lips, the skin just WOULD NOT GROW BACK! All that keeps happening is that layer after layer of skin grows and comes off, but never remains on my lip.

How can I get the skin to cover that stripe again? Please bear in mind that this is NOT the same as chapped or dry lips.

I would appreciate any advice.
