Post sunburn and peeling skin

I got a terrible sunburn recently and now the skin on my back it peeling off. it looks terrible! I was wondering what i should do about it...i have been applying aloe, but should i exfoliate?? to get the skin off?? it is covering my whole back and I am going to a wedding this weekend...and need it to look better?
any suggestions?

If the skin is healed from the burn, you could wash your back with a stiff washrag or one of those scrubby shower things. Just be careful not to push too hard as it will hurt. After that, use a good moisturizer.

Second, quit getting sunburns. Wear sunscreen everyday of your life. When you're 40 and look 25, you'll thank me.
