Post cuticle

Hello
Does anyone here pick their cuticle until
they bleed,they get infected sometimes,which
sometimes rather scares me,
unfortunatley i do it a lot,my fingers look like
a mess, and at the same time some of my nails are
deformed because of that,Now my question here
is there a way to avoid infections, and is there a solotion
for my picking and finally my last question what should i do
in case of my nails,i appreciate every mail and
suggestions,thank you

Yep, that would be me. Where some people bite their nails, like my daughter, I pick at them - cuticles, sides, wherever. And yes, they would bleed, and they would get red and infected looking, and yes my nails would grow out with ridges and not very nice looking because we're damaging the area where the nail is made. I have found that the only way to break myself of this is to wear fake nails. They leave my hands looking very pretty and feminine, and I don't so much as touch a cuticle, not only because they're now too pretty to mess up, but the coating on my nails helps to prevent me from getting to my cuticles in the first place. They're smooth and neat and stay that way as long as the nails are on. I have tried to go without them, and the first day I find myself doing the same thing again. It's a nasty habit and one that is impossible to break, so I don't even try. Artificial nails are the ONLY thing that keeps my hands as pretty as they are, nothing else works, at least not for me. I do them myself so it's fairly inexpensive, and no one else saw my hands when they were at their worst. It's an option you may want to try.

Good luck.
