Question New Hair

Hi,
My hair is shoulder length, parted slightly off-centre. Lately, it seems I have a lot of smaller pieces growing here, there, everywhere. I'm having trouble getting them to stay down. My stylist says it could be from wearing my hair in a pony tail once in a while, causing breakage, but I do use the covered hair bands. I'm wondering if it is from my stylist using a cap when I get my hair highlighted (twice a year). Anyway, I would appreciate any help in keeping this under control - it's worse in the humidity too. Looking for a smoother look - any recommended products? By the way, I try not to blow dry my hair very often. Thanks for any advice!

I don't don't have much done to my hair and it's very natural, long, but fine and soft and i too have the odd lengths of baby hair around the scalp area (mostly visible in the parting). I just put it down to my hair being very fine and soft. Once these hairs grow to a certain length they settle down amongst the other long hairs. You can use styling products to keep it all "down", but i've never bothered.
