Question Clear fingernails where there should be white

I bit my fingernails for most of my life, but finally quit 2 years ago. Which was no easy task, but I haven't bit one since. ANYWAY, where the nail should be white on the tips, ya know? Well mine is clear. I've tried bleaching them white but nothing works. They are thick, not flimsy and clearish not yellow. I'd give anything for gorgeous white nails. Any advice?

Not everyone has a nail plate that is white as it becomes free edge. Some are white with clear spots, and some are mostly clear. There is nothing you can do to change this as it is genetic. Bleach will not do the trick, neither will nail whiteners that are sold over the counter at beauty supply stores - they will only remove any yellow cast from the underside of the free edge. You could try white pencils designed for nails, or opt for a thin overlay of a pink and white acrylic or gel.
