Post Dyeing Eye lashes

I was wondering if anyone has every tried doing this on your own. I have dyed my eyebrows before and had no problems. I know they can dye them for you professionally, but I figure since i have the dye I can do it myself. When using black dye, is it going to be terrible if by some chance some gets in the eye? I know the eyes can handle a lot of things. We get different things in our eyes everyday and washing it out usually works. I just feel the label of blindness is a scare tactic. Either way I would place the dye on the lower eye lash with a q-tip, then close my eye and do the upper eye lashing. Then i'd wait and wash it off and proceed to the other eye.

Dying eyebrows are pretty simple to do your self, but please let a proffesional dye your eyelashes. If you do get some in the eye, and it doesn't make you blind, I'm sure it will burn really, really bad. Why would you take the chance of being blind just to save some money?

Well I'm pretty sure i would be able to do it on my own that's why I'm hesitant to go out of my way to have a professional in my face. I just don't see it as being that hard, I have really long eyelashes so i can easily control the q-tip with dye on it. I'm still thinking about it though i'm not dyeing my hair again till Sunday. If i take my time and stay away from trying to rush it, it should go well.

Ok well, then I hope everything goes well. Also, I'm thinking that they use different stuff than normal hair dye when they do eyelash tinting. But anyway, good luck. Will you post and tell how it went? I've never heard of anyone who could dye their own eyelashes.
