Talking Dying hair darker!

Hello! A week ago I dyed my dull brown hair (with permanent color) a rich, dark brown. I was exceedingly satisfied with the result but have now noticed that after just two color-safe shampoos, my hair is nearly back to it's original color. Is it safe to re-dye it with a newer, darker product a week following the original dying process? Help! Thanks!

You're probably not using permanent dye if it fades so quick. Try dyeing it with Nice 'n Easy by clairol, permanent dye.

If you want to dye your hair again do it, but try to use the same color as before, dont go any darker. Also, make sure you are using shampoo that is for color treated hair, I have noticed the cheaper shampoo's strip the color out of your hair, although Pantene works really good and is for color treated hair. Also washing your hair alot takes the color out, try not to wash it as much.

Candace

what was the name of the hair color? I think L"oreal Excellence works the best and stays in the best.

Your not alone. I always try getting my hair a deeper brown and it fades within a week or less. Last time I dyed my hair was in May, It was a really pretty deep brown color, it faded back to a blondish brown color which isn't even my real color. So I don't know. I've tried all different kinds of dye all the way from the cheapest to the most expensive. Although I didn't get it done permanetly I had my mother do it.
