Question Folliculitis

I have had this problem for years, I just wanted to know if anyone else does...and what they do to make it go away, or what makes it worse. where they find it happens most, scars, etc. I find mine is worse where the waist of my pants are (they aren't tight though, perhaps a little too baggy). And my inner thighs. Sometimes I find the rare one in the armpit. I used to get medicated creams for them, but they didn't seem to help. I have enough scars from them that one or two more wouldn't matter. But this summer, I seem to not have many. I worked in a place that I sweated quite a bit, but that didn't seem to affect it. I am 22, could I just be growing out of it? (let's hope I am!!)

Hi, this is my first post... I was surprised that anyone had even heard of the condition.
I was diagnosed with folliculitis two years ago and nothing I've been prescribed has helped.
To make matters worse it seems to be getting worse. I'm not trying to scare you or anything, just wondering if anyone else has the problem.

I get red, zit-like bumps on my head that can last from 2-3 days to a month. Some are almost as big as a dime, while most are just small red bumps.
The pain they cause is incredible when I get my hair cut or when I forget about them and scratch my head, which is usually how I find a new one.

They seem to like to go away only to come back in the same spots. And I've got scars from a few. They're also visible and look ... like lesions or something.

Anyone else with such problems or advice. I've read that they can be caused by stress, which I have no shortage of...
